I believe in the power each of us have. I believe that we can make the world we live in better, if we start with ourselves. My contribution as a facilitator and consultant is in helping others free and harness their potential in their day to day life. The people I work with, in CDM or other companies, helps me evolve both as a professional and as a person. I feel this is the profession that allows me to know myself better, respect others and myself. I am a Senior Consultant, I have been working in CDM since 1994, and since 1997 I am the Executive Director. (I graduated Automation and Computers in 1990). A big opportunity in my life and career is the collaboration with the ”Roffey Park Management Institute” from Great Britain. In 1994 I completed an intensive “Train the Trainers” programme and after a two year process of study through the Self-Managed Learning method I got a “Diploma in Management Development” in 1998. I have strengthened my knowledge and conceptual thinking by teaching, as an associate lecturer, at two universities, Comparative Management, Strategic Management and Marketing between 1993-1997. I have written and published articles and specialized materials for newspapers and magazines and contributed to writing 4 textbooks. I am constantly looking for new perspectives – through reading, training programmes (Crown Agents UK, Chartered Institute of Marketing UK, Gruppo Soges), discussions with colleagues and other professionals, in the context of associations or professional forums, but also through participating in numerous conferences. The learning process is continuous, through the consulting and development contracts in Romania and other European countries. Among the companies I have worked with are Alcatel-Lucent, Allied Domecq S & W, UK; Automobile Dacia – Renault Group, Banca Transilvania; ICL International – UK; Worwag Pharma – Germany; Lafarge, American Peace Corps, Petrom, Tenaris, Temco Enterprises – Singapore, etc. As the biggest consulting firm in the world is now PricewaterhouseCoopers, I am proud to have worked in the ABAS development programme for PwC consultants in Central and Eastern Europe. I gained experience in diverse domains, like human resources, marketing and sales, organizational development, personal development (including Action Learning and Self-Management Learning processes). Working with people that have rich and diverse professional experiences in different organizational and national environments, permanently help me in creating and delivering impactful interventions. This is the reason why I like my job; seeing that the powerful models we use in the processes of consulting and development, in communicating with individuals and strong personalities, have an effect on people, including me.
